Yannick Jaulin is an unclassifiable and singular artist, who is able to take audiences of all kinds on a journey through his universe. Irreverent, free spirited and humorous, he is a poet who is constantly exploring new ways of doing his art.
In particular, he is the creator and director of Le Nombril du Monde, a truly unique artistic experiment in Pougne-Hérisson, a rural French village.
Yannick works regularly with musicians and artists from a variety of different places and backgrounds. He is also an actor. He played in “Forêts”, a play by Wajdi Mouawad, which was shown in the Cour d’Honneur at the Avignon Festival. He has written many children’s books, musical stories and shows for other artists. He has also had a career as a rock musician, within the framework of a deeply local but nonetheless unforgettable project.
Above all, and in the midst of it all, he is a very talented storyteller.
